Bathhouse interiorBegin your journey at Stewart Mineral Springs with a soothing mineral bath, a relaxing sweat in Northern California 's last dry wood sauna or revitalizing spa treatment.

The bathhouse is the healing headquarters for our resort. It houses 13 private bathing rooms where water bubbles up from the ground cold, is heated, and run into deep tubs for soaking. While naturally exfoliating your skin, the mineral water begins the process of purifying your body, then our large wood sauna completes the purifying process.

The bathhouse is surrounded by wide wooden decks overlooking Parks Creek, where you may sunbathe and relax to the sounds of the rushing stream.

Our Clothing Optional Policy Changed on November 1, 2016
In an effort to make Stewart Mineral Springs more accessible and comfortable for everyone to enjoy the wonderful benefits of our waters, it will no longer be “clothing optional” in the sauna, deck and creek. Beginning November 1, 2016, we request that people use their sheets, sarongs, bathing suit or towels in these areas.

Our Mineral Water

It is believed by many, with first hand experience, that our mineral water is one of the most, if not the most, powerful healing waters in the world.

We make no claims as to any healing abilities that our waters may have, but whatever secrets the water contains has convinced countless devotees that it relieves a number of conditions and illnesses while restoring a sense of physical and mental well-being.

Dry Wood Sauna

Dry Wood SaunaOne of the last of its kind...

Being one of the last dry wood saunas in Northern California, it's definitely a special place.

Heated solely by a woodstove, the type of heat you will experience is quite different than that of a steam sauna or a sauna heated electrically. Heated from the core of your body out, you will sweat deeper, pulling more impurities out of your system.

To accompany your sauna... The Cold Plunge

The Cold PlungeOnce you've worked up a good sweat in the sauna, go jump in the creek. Parks Creek runs through the property, a dipping pool has been carved out for your "Cold Plunge". The significance of the cold water is to wash off all of the surfaced toxins that have come out during your bath and sauna while building your immune system. The Native Americans believe that by submerging your body and head in the creek, all of your stress is washed downstream.

If the "Cold Plunge" is not your thing, you can rinse off in a cold shower.
