Silent Retreat for Contemplative Prayer And/or Meditation

We welcome anyone seeking a place and time to practice their own silent meditation or prayer in a supportive, beautiful, serene mountain setting. Your Host

Rowena Duncan is a group facilitator and body work therapist who has been leading meditation groups, and retreats since 1989. Her role for this retreat is not to teach or lead. She is simply being of service in the role of holding space, navigating the movement of the group throughout the weekend and ensuring the group is held so each guest can dive deeply into the depth of their practice. She is available for Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy on Friday before the group begins and Saturday afternoon. Massage sessions/reservations are also available at the front desk. Mineral baths are first come first serve unless you schedule a massage or bodywork appointment.

Pricing and Registration:

Fee: $60 a night, shared double occupancy, plus a potluck food contribution.(Scroll down for more about food.) Private rooms are available @$90 a night. A non-refundable and non- transferable deposit of $50 to reserve your space. Add 10% lodging and tourism tax. Balance due upon arrival at the retreat. Sauna is included. Mineral bath is $30. Morning yoga is 8.00 per day. Space is limited to 15 guests.

You are welcome to come early and bathe in a mineral bath ($30 for participants) or sauna (free to participants) prior to registration.

Food and What to Bring

Food Contributions: Food and drinks are not included in the fees. Potluck food contributions will be organized when we know how many people will join the weekend, a good reason for registering early. Everyone will be expected to help with dishes and clean up before departure. Meals are: Friday dinner, three meals on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast. Eating light is recommended for this retreat. We encourage you to cook and or prep as much as possible at home to help keep all of us in our silent retreat space.

What to bring: clothes for fluctuating temperatures, cover such as a small blanket for long sitting practice, yoga mat, swim suit, sturdy walking shoes, toiletries, rain gear, watch, flashlight, sealed containers for water and hot drinks, your own chair/cushion if needed for long sittings (we have folding chairs)
